Come just as you are, and leave inspired by our Ateliers of Inspiration. Here goe the Swiss Alpine Macaroni recipe!

Swiss Alpine Macaroni with crispy bacon

Ingredients

Recipe for 4 servings

200 g maggarons
150 g floury potatoes
2 pcs big onions
1 piece garlic
4 dl full cream
1 dl vegetable stock
100 g Gruyere, grated
150 g Grison mountain cheese, grated
8 slices of cooked bacon
salt, pepper, butter, parsley

Preparation

  1. Cut the potatoes into cubes (1x1cm), emincate the onions (slices), press the garlic.
  2. Mix the maggarons with the potatoes, the onions, the garlic, the full cream, the vegetable stock and the Gruyere in a bowl and season to taste.
  3. Put everything in a buttered gratin dish and sprinkle with the Bündner Bergkäse.
  4. Cook at 180°C top and bottom heat and 360 Watt microwave for 20 min.
  5. For the bacon chips preheat the oven to 200°C hot air.
  6. Spread the bacon slices on a baking tray covered with baking paper, cover with a second baking paper and place another baking tray on top.
  7. Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes, then let cool.

Arrange

Arrange the Älplermaggaronen in a deep plate, put one or two chips in it and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
